Birthday Book

Finally finished this Birthday book that I started at  Michelle Last's Bicester Craft Day (back in October) for my mum's birthday last week (her fav colour is purple).

I filled it chock full of handmade cards (there's space for 12, but I doubled up on some of the pages)  and she really loved it :)

Book plate stamp and one of the cards in the book

I even got a chance to try out my first giant stamp- the "book plate" in elegant eggplant ink. It's big enough to be a card on its own, after one print (and a little embellishment) but I just used it as a book plate for the inside cover this time.

Here's a couple more cards I put inside:

(well you don't just need birthday cards :p)

Yellow Owly card

Another CASE, this time from from Amy White's Amazing blog -isn't it cute?! My version started out at a manageable size, but just grew and grew-thankfully I found an envelope that just fit!

Thank you owly

Since getting the owl punch about a year ago-i finally got round to making a "bookish" card with it!
In my other life I am a Library Assistant, so when our work experience boy left last week I made him a little card. The book ends/sides were made with the word window punch.

Handmade Flower

Check out this labour of love! I found out about this technique at a recent Pink Ladies Quarterly crop/meet up. A lady was showing us how to do it on one of the inspiration tables.
I wanted to try it out and this week's Friday MashUp! has given me the perfect opportunity-"handmade flower or flowers"

It started out as lots of little petals made from the Owl Punch (with their feet cut off!)
